dna land is based on five isorhythms and five non-retrogradable palindromes and the inversion, retrograde, and retrograde-inversions of those ten phrases. the piece is essentially one large palindrome. even the title of the piece is symmetrical as it is also a palindrome. this recording was performed by my ensemble.
